I am not racing I drive my bike semi hard and I will be in a pit every now and then but mostly trail and highroad riding lol. Let me know what you guys use for your premix ratio. Stock YZ 250 premix with your typical "Yamalube 2R" is 32:1. Meaning that you can mix one bottle of oil (16oz) to 4 gallons of gasoline. However if you use a high quality, full synthetic oil "Belray H1R" you can go as high as 50:1. Meaning less oil than the 32:1 mixture. This mixture is approx. 8 oz. The oil is there as a lubricant and doesn't really affect the mixture. Except the oil takes the place of gas, so all other things being equal, the more oil, the leaner the mixture, the more chances of seizing. So basically, re-jet when you change the fuel/oil ratio. Wait, I just read the end of your post. You basically said the same thing. |
